Look: A, or The Cornucopia (Graille) shimmers out of mistiness/mythiness. It is held in place and slowly brought into focus from immense veils of obscurity.

It grows, appears, is found where evolving human cultural software ("know how"/ideas) and hardware engage to produce new generations of technology. To be brought fully into focus it requires abundance-cognizant people: ecologically and democratically spirited.

Now: if a cornucopia resembles some version of the birth structure, womb and cervix, say, and that horn of life is the sacrum (sacred doorway) (Cf. S. Grof) between the Other World and this, between the land of the ancestors, the Dreaming, the gardens of the gods, the Garden of Tools, etc, that is, for the purposes of level living field the unlimited source, the Abundance. The King's Ransom. Power's ransom.

Then to the extent that Grof's pictures apply, "ego death" is required in order for the "transpersonal" to flow in, or out.

And "inflated ego" is the present historical show, abundance flowing through the cornucopia, the horn from the Dreaming into closed structures, non-dissipative systems. Ego's scarcity-base, now denial, becoming abundant. The bourgeois paralyzed with fear hardening into what they are: Humpty Dumpty's shell just before he tips over and falls. Abundant scarcity, which we hear from every quarter, whatever our eyes know. No wonder the rich and super-rich are infantile! They live at the very door of the Open Dreaming, and it takes all their power, frenziedly sandbagging, moneybagging giant dams, banks through night and day to deny it.

Ego death: paths to the Great Horn littered with corpses. Darkness, oppression (Mordor), grumbling thunder, an old patriarchal god with Altzheimer's mambling in the clouds.

Now: what were warriors/braves for? Well, they were guardians of territory, though they and their generals loved to aggress, extend territory, take slaves. Why slaves? 1. To not have to work for the necessities, but instead to have adventures, and to laze about leisurely together with friends, drinking and talking. 2. To improve the domestic situation. Why improve the domestic situation? To protect and nurture women and their job, the rearing of new generations--trying to underwrite the time-territoriality.

Anything else? Yes: all these also to protect the shaman and baka/bard/artist, the back-door-keeper to the Dreaming where all are bound through death, toward... what? To provide Blake's City of Heaven to guide future artists/shamans, etc? Or to bring a perfume of the Dreaming into the atmosphere to edify the tribe?

What, then, about what we have come to call "power"? The satisfaction of domination and controlling the lives of others: slaves, wives, children? Fromm suggests this is a perversion of "power of." Power of what? Power of developing what is in one. Well what if that is aggressive power? What if aggressive power and dominance-power are what is "in one"? This is like a monument built to the power to build monuments.
