ENANTIODROMIA

Coined by Heraclitus

Anything that proceeds in a linear mode becomes its opposite. Jung used the model in his theory of psychic "compensation": The more committed you are to your position, the sooner you will become its opposite. It may be perfectly apparent to others but not to you.

 

ENTELECHY

 

I use the term as defined by Jean Houston: "An entelechy is a 'dynamic propulsiveness'-- it is the entelechy of an acorn to be an oak tree."

 

 

KAIZEN

 

"Sustained continuous improvement" -- this has been used a a business term in Japan. Taken in an ecological/philosophical context, it is a valuable concept/practice: kaizen of purpose, motives, effects.
